What They Wore: Style Journal Blog

The first blogs I start­ed read­ing weren’t art relat­ed. No, they were dai­ly style blogs that fea­tured street fash­ion and what some­one wore on any giv­en day. I still read these blogs reli­gious­ly, and am always inter­est­ed in how peo­ple dress. Truth be told, get­ting dressed is one of my least favorite parts of the day. If I had a uni­form I could just wear for the rest of my life, that’d be fine!

That’s why I love these dai­ly style blogs so much. See­ing ordi­nary peo­ple with ordi­nary bud­gets make cute out­fits and look fan­tas­tic gives me inspi­ra­tion and hope. Look­ing at these blogs taught me how to dress better.

So, one of my newest obses­sions is the Style Jour­nal Blog. It’s an illus­trat­ed What I Wore blog fea­tur­ing 4 illus­tra­tors. Sophia Fos­ter-Dimi­no, Britt Wil­son, Vic­ki Ner­i­no, and Char­maine Vee all depict what their wear­ing in drawn form with oft-amus­ing commentary.
