One of my favorite trends I’ve seen as of late is rugs. Not just any rugs—tufted rugs done by artists. Often, they’re one of a kind and are at the inter­sec­tion of illus­tra­tive imagery and fiber art (my favorite!) Stu­dio Meche is a great exam­ple of this; inspired by flow­ers, the tuft­ed cre­ations are a styl­ized view of them. The designs include intri­cate col­or com­bi­na­tions that depict all of the beau­ti­ful flecks of col­ors to be found in a sin­gle petal.
