Life-Sized Paper Plants are Beaming Beauties That Look Like the Real Thing

I’ve been obsessing over a few of my (real) plants lately—mainly trying to revive their wilted leaves. (Being a plant parent is hard work sometimes.) So, I’ve taken solace in the work of Corrie Beth Hogg who crafts her own paper plants that always look full of life and never get too much sun or not enough humidity. Cutting and painting the likes of Begonias and African Masks, she often “replants” the leaves into different decor or will even use them in table settings.

Technically, I like how she paints the paper with white paint. The effect isn’t entirely opaque, and you can see some green poking through—often like you’d find in the real thing. She reveals how to make many of them on her blog, The Apple of My DIY.

Using white paint and careful folding, Corrie Beth Hogg creates lifelike paper plants including Begonias and African Masks.
