Miranda Sofroniou finds inspiration for her illustrations from her travels, nature, people, and animals. These muses are expressed with a mixture of painting, drawing, and collage. The results have effortless look to them; you can almost feel the warm breeze of southern Utah and the quiet tranquility of cows grazing in a grandiose field. In this way, Miranda’s paintings are like postcards you’d send to a friend—subtly bragging about the amazing time you’re having.
Miranda’s works, whose subjects span the globe, are in keeping with her adventurous spirit. “In November I decided to quit my job in London and move to Melbourne, Australia to pursue a freelance career,” she tells me. “I have been soaking up the sunshine, forests, and beaches, which help fuel my ongoing obsession with illustration.”
Miranda sells her work as greeting cards and prints through her Etsy shop.
