Lorena Marañón has been mentioned on this blog recently; her work will be featured in an upcoming online show, Sampler. She’s also working on a collaborative piece that accompanies Sampler (view the beginning of that here).
I first became acquainted with Lorena’s accessories years ago, and followed what she’s doing ever since. Her embroideries are luscious. She uses the satin stitch to achieve a surface that, well, looks like satin! All are embroidered on muslin then clipped and made into necklaces, bracelets, and more.
Look for her part of the collaboration on the blog soon! All images via her website.
