Kristina Collantes

I found the work of Kristi­na Col­lantes through design­er friend Erin Zin­gre. Com­plex, col­or­ful, and even a bit trip­py at times, Kristi­na’s illus­tra­tions work so well thanks to her expert grasp on the for­mal aspects of com­pos­ing an image. Even those these are unbe­liev­able sit­u­a­tions, they are made more believ­able by good draw­ing and fine details that demon­strat­ing an under­stand­ing of form.

Kristi­na’s illus­tra­tions are ground­ed in a real­i­ty we know, but I love that in each image, she takes us to anoth­er world or alter­nate reality.
