Introducing SAMPLER! A Contemporary Embroidery Project

Hey! If you fol­low me on Insta­gram or Tum­blr, you might have noticed I’ve been post­ing pic­tures of embroi­dered hand­ker­chiefs by dif­fer­ent image mak­ers. If you did, then you had a sneak peak of my Sam­pler project. If not, then you are in luck. It launch­es TODAY. RIGHT NOW.

Sam­pler is my love let­ter to con­tem­po­rary embroi­dery and vin­tage objects. I select­ed 5 love­ly peo­ple that work in embroi­dery, and picked out 5 vin­tage hand­ker­chiefs for them. I mailed them each a han­kie, and they were free to adorn it how­ev­er they wish. The fin­ished pieces were mailed back to me and voila! You  have Sam­pler. The embroi­der­ers include: Sara­jo Frieden, Lore­na Marañón, Per­rin, Amy Black­well, and Lau­ra McKel­lar.
