Adorable Needle-Felted Sloths Hang Out Among Beautiful Embroidered Blooms

Needle-felted sloth by Fuzzy and Flora

It seems like forever ago that I shared the work of Becky Tilson, aka Fuzzy and Flora, and her needle felted llamas who carry beautiful blooms on their backs. (It’s been almost two years.) Since that time, Becky has continued to expand her fuzzy offerings. She still makes many adorable llamas, yes, but her menagerie now includes animals like bunnies, cows, pigs, and my favorite, sloths.

The three-toed creatures aren’t hauling bunches of flowers like their llama friends. In Becky’s hoop art, she has them wearing a flower lei as they hang from a branch that’s decorated with embroidered plants. The combination encapsulates what I love the most about Becky’s work; the mingling of textures, from the wool to fancy knots to the basic satin stitch.

Becky sells her work in the Fuzzy and Flora Etsy shop. Follow her on Instagram to see what she’s up to now.

Fuzzy and Flora creates needle-felted sloths who hang among colorful embroidery plants and flowers.
