These Two Embroidery Hoops Form a Tiny Stitched Home Like a Polly Pocket

I’m an elder mil­len­ni­al and grew up want­i­ng a Pol­ly Pock­et. (For some rea­son, I nev­er got one.) If you were some­one who had a Pol­ly Pock­et or wished you have one, then this embroi­dery project by Grace of The Lone­ly Stitch will speak to you. My friend Melis­sa sent it to me in the fall of 2021, and I was instant­ly enamored.

It’s a clever project that incor­po­rates four sides of two hoops that are con­nect­ed via a hinge. Just like the real Pol­ly Pock­et, there is an exte­ri­or as well as a tiny inte­ri­or space that fea­tures a liv­ing room and stu­dio space.

Since cre­at­ing her first ver­sion of the minia­ture home, Grace has said that she intends to make more. I’m look­ing for­ward to see­ing what she stitch­es next!
