I’m an elder millennial and grew up wanting a Polly Pocket. (For some reason, I never got one.) If you were someone who had a Polly Pocket or wished you have one, then this embroidery project by Grace of The Lonely Stitch will speak to you. My friend Melissa sent it to me in the fall of 2021, and I was instantly enamored.
It’s a clever project that incorporates four sides of two hoops that are connected via a hinge. Just like the real Polly Pocket, there is an exterior as well as a tiny interior space that features a living room and studio space.
Since creating her first version of the miniature home, Grace has said that she intends to make more. I’m looking forward to seeing what she stitches next!
