Animator and artist Andrea Love creates animation using needle felted art. The stop-motion pieces feature sets created entirely from the fiber material, and she does things with it you wouldn’t expect. Needle felting, in particular, is known for its stiffness. It’s only by stabbing the fibers over (and over) that you’re able to create a stable form. But in Andrea’s short stories, the needle-felted objects are ever-changing. It’s what makes even the most ordinary scenes—sharpening a pencil, applying nail polish—feel so magical.
