Are you a crafter living in the Seattle / Tacoma area? If so, come to Camp Craftaway! Hosted by myself and Melissa of MCreativeJ, it’s a day camp for crafty adults that’s happening from Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14 at the Alki Beach Boathouse in West Seattle.
We’ve got 11 amazing PNW makers leading workshops that will have you wood burning, needle felting, fabric dyeing, earring designing, and much more. In addition to workshops, we’ll have an ice cream social and a craft supplies exchange.
What your Camp Craftaway ticket gets you:
Tickets are sold as either three days (all access) or two-day passes. Each ticket includes access to workshops (supplies sold separately) and other fun events during Camp Craftaway.
See the full Camp Craftaway schedule here.
Bring a buddy and save! If you and a friend want to attend together, buy a buddy pass. You’ll each save $25 when you do. (Ticket must be bought together.)

I’m excited to be one of Google’s paid early testers for their Thank with Google pilot program. Thank with Google is an experimental feature that allows you to purchase a virtual sticker and directly show your appreciation for content on Brown Paper Bag. As a loyal supporter, you can now feel more connected and engaged because you have the ability to express yourself and share what my work means to you.
There are a variety of stickers to select from and every time you send a paid sticker, you can add a personal message. (I love reading them!) For me, these virtual stickers translate into direct revenue to support the work that goes into the content that you are enjoying on my blog.
You can find the Thank with Google feature in multiple places on my site, including as a button at the top and bottom of this and all blog posts. If you try it out, let me know what you think! Thanks as always for your support.
