I haven’t trav­eled any­where for a while, and Rhi James—aka Hebe Stu­dio—has me yearn­ing for a vaca­tion. She cre­ates col­or­ful illus­tra­tions of wan­der­lust-induc­ing land­scapes and inte­ri­or scenes that remind me how nice it is to stay in some­one else’s home.

Rhi is from the UK but cur­rent­ly based in Perth, Aus­tralia. Trav­el is at the core of her work. “Rhi cre­at­ed Hebe Stu­dio in quar­an­tine after a trip of a life­time trav­el­ing around India for a cou­ple of months,” her web­site explains. “On her return, she spent her two weeks in self-iso­la­tion paint­ing, cre­at­ing and com­ing up with a busi­ness plan. It was some­thing she had want­ed to do for years but could nev­er find the time.”
