Lillian Farag uses leather bags and envelopes as canvases for her vibrant abstract illustrations. The tanned-leather vessels are a clad in watercolor-like brush strokes that bring a painterly touch to everyday carry. Each piece is hand-painted and ensures that no two are alike.
Once you begin to carry a bag by Lillian, the oils on your hands start to darken the leather. It’ll result in a beautiful patina that occurs naturally over time—something, she says, “… is a natural process and should be welcomed! It will bear markings and color changes, building character, and giving your piece its own story.”
