Insta­gram is great for find­ing tat­too artists, but it’s also the worst—I have such tat­too envy every time I scroll though an artist’s feed! Ham­burg-based tat­too­er Susanne König cre­ates sur­re­al por­traits and whim­si­cal ani­mal scenes that are sure to make you smile. Although they’re sweet, Susanne adds some edge to them with her illus­tra­tive black­work and stip­pling tech­niques. This lack of col­or keeps them from being total­ly sac­cha­rine, and they feel like an adult day­dream rather than chil­dren’s book.
